Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The six questions are gender, your date of birth, your general health, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and how many years you need it. Your name, address, and health history are collected only if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are the rates carriers give us for the health and age you entered. Your actual premium is set by the carrier after underwriting, which can confirm, improve, or downgrade your class. Quotes are estimates for information only, not an offer of insurance or a price guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name, and we create the application from your chosen quote and submit it to the carrier's secure platform. You can pause and resume anytime; you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the entire application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the carrier, the amount, and your answers. Some carriers can approve immediately for eligible applicants without an exam; others may ask for one. Each quote shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should match the years when your family would struggle most without your income: a mortgage to be paid, children at home needing support, a business loan. Longer terms lock in your rate for longer but cost more each month. The quote tool shows 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year options side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. We don't collect your contact details on the quote tool. We don't sell or rent your information. Our first-party measurement is cookieless and respects Do Not Track signals. We also use a cookieless page counter supplied by the content delivery provider, which does not read Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control but maintains privacy through no cookies and no stored identifiers. The privacy page lists exactly what we collect and who collects it.
